PRODUCT DOCUMENTATION
High-intensity broad-spectrum 200–400 nm UV for large-flow disinfection. One lamp is typically 2–10 kW, with ordinary-water flow from 1 to 500 m³/h and pure-water flow from 5 to 200 m³/h according to UV transmittance, dose and system configuration.
KONCHE medium-pressure systems run single 2–10 kW lamps covering 1–500 m³/h on ordinary water (5–200 m³/h on pure water) with up to 99.99% inactivation, water-jacket or air cooling, and UV-dose monitoring to ≥40 mJ/cm². Lamp life is 5,000–8,000 h; feed requirements are turbidity below 5 NTU and suspended solids below 5 mg/L. Typical projects: high-flow purified-water lines, food and beverage CIP water, pools and water parks, municipal supply and reuse, aquaculture.
CORE BENEFITS
Advantage
Customer benefit
Large-flow capacity
One lamp replaces dozens of low-pressure lamps — compact and efficient.
Broad-spectrum kill
Multi-target 200–400 nm output, effective on resistant organisms.
Space compact
Small footprint, friendly to retrofit projects.
Fewer maintenance points
Lower lamp-replacement workload, annual cost and downtime.
Multi-scenario fit
Pure water, food, pools, municipal and aquaculture duties.
Note: capacities and configurations can be customized to actual project requirements.
ADVANCED PHOTO-OXIDATION — ENGINEERED TO ORDER
Beyond disinfection, the same medium-pressure platform is engineered into TiO₂ photocatalytic photo-oxidation packages for difficult industrial effluents. Broad-band UV acting on the titanium-dioxide catalytic chamber generates hydroxyl radicals, breaking refractory organic molecules into smaller, readily degradable compounds — or fully to CO₂ and H₂O.
Duty
How the photo-oxidation package is applied
Refractory COD reduction
1–30 kW baffled-reactor packages raise biodegradability ahead of biological treatment or polishing.
Color and odor removal
Dye-containing, chemical and pulp effluents are oxidized for color and odor control.
Landfill leachate pretreatment
High-strength leachate is cracked to reduce the downstream treatment load.
Operating reliability
Automatic quartz-sleeve wiping, full PLC control and dose monitoring as standard.
Photo-oxidation packages are engineered to order against a verified water analysis and treatment target; stated values are reference ranges, not project guarantees.

FAQ
What is the difference from low-pressure UV?
Medium-pressure UV uses higher power and a broader spectrum for compact high-flow duty; low-pressure UV is more energy-efficient for many ordinary flows.
How is cooling selected?
Water-jacket cooling or air cooling is selected according to lamp power, water temperature, installation and maintenance conditions.
How long does the lamp last?
Typical lamp life is 5,000–8,000 operating hours, subject to water quality, power cycling and cooling.
What information is needed for selection?
Flow rate, UV transmittance, target dose, water temperature, installation space and pressure are required.
How do you size a medium-pressure UV system?
Size to about 1.2 times the peak flow, verify UV transmittance — pre-filtration is recommended below 85% — and keep feed turbidity below 5 NTU and suspended solids below 5 mg/L.
Can medium-pressure UV reduce refractory COD, color or odor?
Yes. KONCHE engineers UV photocatalytic TiO₂ (titanium-dioxide) photo-oxidation packages — 1–30 kW baffled reactors with automatic quartz-sleeve wiping — as customized systems for refractory wastewater duties.
